Cogynt.ai: Decision Intelligence for Institutional Safety and Security

Cogynt.ai is an integrated Decision Intelligence platform that combines the empirical grounding and contextual sensitivity of SPJ methodologies with the scalability, transparency, and predictive strength of expert AI systems. The solution builds on Cogility’s Cogynt Decision Intelligence engine, which uses Hierarchical Complex Event Processing (HCEP) to encode expert knowledge into transparent, computable analytical frameworks.

Cogynt.ai Student Safety Application

Ten school safety risk assessment scenarios, taken from real-world case files, were used to evaluate the performance of the Cogynt.ai SOFIT-based risk model, tailored for violence and suicidal ideation risk assessment (approximately 150 out of a total of about 200 SOFIT potential risk indicators (PRIs) were relevant to these types of threat behaviors).

Learn more about the school safety scenarios and how the results of the Cogynt.ai model showed excellent agreement with actual triage assessments in real-world school environments.
